Ben Sheff, LMFT
Brooklyn based therapist serving all of New York
As a therapist, I use both my lived experience and my clinical training to support you. Before changing careers in my 30’s, I spent over a decade working in hospitality, and had a short stint as an aspiring actor. One common thread I’ve found vital in these three professions is an ability to connect and be truly present with the people in front of me.
I received my bachelor’s degree from The New School, and my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Iona University. My approach is integrative and draws from experiential, relational, and attachment-based therapies, including AEDP and IFS.
At the heart of this work is helping you feel secure enough in our therapeutic connection to explore yourself and your relationships with curiosity, compassion, and trust. I know that’s a lot easier said than done, and I’ll be with you all along the way.
